Research and Evaluation

The Center evaluates each of its programs and utilizes the findings to inform practitioners and policy makers about best practices and program impact. Qualitative and quantitative studies have examined the effect of intergenerational programming on a range of outcomes, including:

  • Academic achievement, school behavior and life skills of middle school youth
  • Reading skills of young children
  • Attitudes of high school and college students towards community service and the elderly
  • Parenting skills
  • Caregiver stress
  • Well-being of older adults
